Aside from these a number of prospective cultivations with codes Bs 1, 2 etc. have been chosen and are being tested for their adaptation outside the Test Area. Cultivation from V. labrusca such as Delaware Isabella, Brilliant, Beacon and others are resilient against Downy mildew sickness and can bear fruit in a some what wet climate of the lowlands up to the high lards. The Isabella cultivation easily bears fruit after simple pruning, the ripe fruit are of black red color with a fresh to sour taste and is excellent for making wine. The cultivation from V. vinifera such as Probolinggo Blue, Probolinggo White, Situbondo Yellow, Gros Colman and others do well when planted in the lowlands up to 300 m below sea level, the dry climate Probolinggo White is widely planted in Jeneponto, South Sulawesi, the ripe fruit is green yellowish and of clear appearance. The Gross Colam has an attractive red purplish fruit, is of larger size compared to Probolinggo Blue with a sweet fresh taste but with a lower production than Probolinggo Blue and Bali.
The description of prospective chosen cultivations are being prepared for acknowledgment as new prime cultivations.
